Dr. Angelica (Fernandez) Fountain is a proud Dallas native who grew up in Pleasant Grove. From an early age, she knew that education was her calling. As the oldest of four children and the first in her family to attend and graduate from college, Dr. Fountain carries with her a deep commitment to learning and leadership.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Dallas, a Master’s degree from the University of Texas at Arlington, and her Doctorate from the University of North Texas. Earning her doctoral degree was a proud milestone that further solidified her lifelong passion for learning and service.
Dr. Fountain began her educational journey in Irving ISD, where she served for 24 years including her student teaching. During her time there, she served as a pilot teacher and district representative for the two-way Dual Language program, an Administrative Intern at Keyes Elementary, an Academic Specialist at Johnston Elementary, and as Assistant Principal at Britain, John Haley, and Brown Elementary schools.
She is honored to now serve as the Principal of Noble-Reed Elementary beginning in the 2025–2026 school year. Dr. Fountain is passionate about building strong relationships with students, families, and staff, and believes that every child deserves to feel seen, supported, and inspired.
Her greatest personal inspiration is her late sister, Ana-Alecia Ayala, who captured hearts around the world in her 2016 viral video "Juju on that Chemo." Ana-Alecia's joy and courage continue to inspire Dr. Fountain’s mission to uplift and empower students from all walks of life—reminding them that no dream is too big and that anything is possible.
Outside of school, Dr. Fountain loves making memories with her family, traveling, and cheering on her favorite team—the Dallas Mavericks. She is happily married to her wonderful husband, Bill, and together they are proud parents to their energetic and joyful five-year-old son, who keeps them on their toes and reminds them daily of the magic of childhood. She is excited to join the Crandall ISD community and is committed to continuing and growing the legacy of Noble-Reed Elementary with heart, purpose, and unity.
